Voluntary Opportunities
This is an exciting time to get involved with the centre as we launch our innovative project work. There is a myriad of work and play opportunities from youth work, gardening, spray painting the walls with talented street artists through to administrative roles, sports development or teaching English. Volunteering with Young People
We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals to help set up and run new youth provisions in the centre. There will be lots of opportunity for your own input into the projects so it's a great time to get involved! If your interested and want further information contact the centre and ask for Michelle on 0117 954 1409 or email her on moshellwren@yahoo.co.uk alternatively please come along to the volunteer meeting on Tuesday 12th August 08 @ 6:30pm.
Administrative Assistant
This post is in our busy reception area meeting loads of fantastic people on a daily basis. The hours are from 2:30 – 5:00pm. Must have good typing skills and great phone manner with customer service experience. Previous computer knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is useful but not essential as full training will be given. Duties include managing the phones, taking bookings and messages, updating data systems and working on reception.
Events Promoter
There is an exciting programme happening weekly in the centre and we need help promoting the events and workshops by motivated, enthusiastic individuals who are committed to their community.
DIY Volunteer
We need help with the upkeep of our building, mending broken door handles, painting the interior and exterior walls, fixing amenities etc.
Gardeners
Adjacent to the centre is a beautiful garden which is waiting to bloom this summer. We are looking for local people to join our buzzing team who tend to this garden already. This summer we aim to have community events in the garden including regular story telling and plays set in the garden.
Website Administrator
The Easton Community Centre has a great website but we would love it to look even better, if you are interested in volunteering your time to make this happen please come on board our team here at the centre as the Website Administrator. This post involves 2 hours a week uploading new information and photos, creating new designs to communicate to the community what we have here at the centre.
Sports Development Worker
Here at the centre we have a brilliant sports all weather pitch with flood lights and astro turf and are looking for a Development Worker to design six week programmes on the pitch. These can vary from football and netball to martial arts or circus. This is a great opportunity to gain Leadership Awards to further your own personal development.
